Role

Backend Engineer (Open Platform) - You will be central to building and maintaining a self-service platform that enables any builder—internal or external—to create an account, connect necessary channels, and launch working solutions within minutes. Focus areas include robust public APIs, API gateways, security systems, and communication protocols to power the platform at scale and with growth potential. Your mission is to build the foundational services that will grow Yalo's SaaS capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable and robust data microservices.
• Optimize data retrieval, storage, and processing for high-volume, data-intensive applications.
• Ensure the reliability, security, and performance of services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Mentor junior engineers, establish coding standards, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to keep Yalo at the cutting edge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree a plus.
• 5+ years of backend software development experience.
• Proficiency in Golang and/or other backend languages.
• Experience in developing and deploying data-intensive microservices.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, databases, and data modeling.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of API design and RESTful principles.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation.
