A global staffing firm is seeking an experienced SAP RTR Functional Consultant – S / 4HANA for a remote position supporting a critical Oil & Gas transformation project. The ideal candidate has strong SAP RTR functional experience and hands-on GL configuration skills in SAP S / 4HANA. Responsibilities include configuring RTR processes, leading GL configuration, supporting financial close processes, and managing integrations. Brunel is looking to hire a SAP RTR (Record to Report) Functional Consultant – S / 4HANA to work remotely with our client, located in Calgary, Canada.

Our client, a major player in the Oil & Gas sector, is currently integrating a newly onboarded company into an existing SAP S / 4HANA landscape. We are looking for hands‑on SAP RTR Functional Consultants with strong implementation and integration experience to support this critical transformation project. This role requires build and delivery experience. Mid‑level professionals are encouraged to apply.

Profiles focused mainly on AMS or support activities will not be considered.

Work Schedule :

Remote (Calgary time)

Contract :

Full‑time | 40 hours / week

End Date :

January 2027 (1 year duration)

Responsibilities :

• Configure and support Record to Report (RTR) processes in SAP S / 4HANA
• Lead and support General Ledger (GL) configuration, including: Chart of Accounts, Document Splitting, Parallel Ledgers, Financial Closing activities
• Support end-to-end financial close processes
• Design and manage integration between GL and sub‑ledgers (AP, AR, and Asset Accounting)
• Configure and support: Automatic Account Determination, Foreign Currency Valuation, Intercompany Postings, Financial Statement Versions (FSV)
• Conduct client workshops, prepare functional documentation, and present solution designs
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams during system integration and go‑live activities

Requirements :

• Fluent English – no flexibility, no this requirement
• Proven SAP RTR functional experience
• Hands‑on GL configuration in SAP S / 4HANA
• Strong understanding of AP, AR, and Asset Accounting (AA) integrations
• Solid experience with financial close processes
• Oil & Gas project experience (mandatory)
• Strong communication, client‑facing, and presentation skills
