A leading chemical solutions provider is seeking a Sales Engineer for their water treatment division in Brazil. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and have at least 5 years of experience in technical sales, particularly in water processes. Knowledge of the Brazilian market and strong relationships with water treatment companies are essential. The position requires travel and proficiency in both English and Portuguese. Key Responsibilities
  • Be focused on growing and maintaining customer base in Brazil market
  • Be responsible for the growth and development of new accounts
  • Work with current customers and prospects to meet sales target and service needs
  • Participate in plant visits with our distributors or OEM's to pursue new business opportunities
  • Capable of prioritizing opportunities based on factors such as customer relationship, size ($), sales stage (budget, bid, post-bid negotiations, etc.), and potential margin
  • Manage regional sales pipeline within SalesForce to achieve quarterly backlog growth.
  • Outline, present and sell the value of our membrane portfolio products and services that can benefit customer needs
  • Conduct required training to our customer's staff or end users to ensure their understanding how our membranes perform and the benefits those can deliver it
  • Build upon and develop strong relationships with customers and new prospects to ensure the growth of our business
  • Ensure profitability of accounts within assigned territory through proper pricing and contract management as well as service time
  • Coordinate relationships and interface with Engineering, Marketing, and other functions
Core Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or closely related discipline
  • Requires experience working for an OEM, Chemical supplier or water treatment company selling different brands of RO membranes and water treatment solutions :
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years of technical sales experience in water processes and chemical treatment required :
  • Good knowledge and relationship with major water treatment companies such as OEM's, chemical suppliers, companies that offer plant operation and maintenance services, distributors, and engineering firms
  • Good knowledge of water industry within Brazilian market and end user companies that has RO membranes in its processes
  • A demonstrated ability to work independently but collaborate with shareholders - marketing, engineering, R&D, and production
  • Strong communication, presentation, and written and verbal Portuguese skills
  • Requires bilingual in English and Portuguese or Spanish and English
  • Requires travel
Eligibility Requirements:
  • Ability and willingness to travel within territory, as required
  • Ability and willingness to work in a range of environments including but not limited to industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, petrochemical sites, F&B plants and power industry facilities.
  • Ability and willingness to comply with stringent drug testing and background check requirements set by customer safety requirements, as required
  • Basic Computer Skills including MS Office, and other software programs, RO software, sales force, ERP
