About the Role:

Role: Senior Python Developer
Location: Brazil (Hybrid)

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high‑performance APIs using Fast API.
• Design and implement scalable microservices architecture.
• Optimize applications for speed, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with product managers and front‑end developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Manage containerization using Docker and orchestrate deployments on Amazon EKS.
• Perform database design and optimization using Postgre SQL.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and improve application performance.
• Prepare technical documentation for APIs and backend systems.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to team growth.

Requirements

• 8-10 years of professional experience in software development with Python.
• Strong expertise in Python frameworks, particularly Fast API (experience with Flask or Django is acceptable).
• Proficiency in containerization tools (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Amazon EKS).
• Solid understanding of relational databases, especially Postgre SQL, including query optimization.
• Experience with building RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with cloud services like AWS (e.g., EC2, S3).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and source control tools like Git.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of asynchronous programming in Python (e.g., Async IO).
• Understanding of authentication protocols (OAuth2, JWT) for securing APIs.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Model Context Protocol/Agentic development experience
