Overview

Title: Python Backend Developer

Duration: Long Term

Location: 100% Remote (BR)

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Python-based backend services
• Support data pipelines processing large datasets (mobility, infrastructure, analytics)
• Work with dataframes (Pandas and similar)
• Support APIs used by internal and external platform components
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teammates
• Execute assigned work with speed and consistency in a startup environment
• This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role, not research-heavy, not overly abstract.

Core Technical Requirements

• Startup or early-stage company experience
• Python backend development experience
• Experience working with data-heavy systems or data pipelines
• Comfort working with dataframes (Pandas required; PySpark is a plus, not a must)
• API development experience (REST)
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure – any is fine)
• Ability to work independently and hit deadlines

Nice to Have

• Exposure to big data tooling (Parquet, Databricks, Spark)
• Some geospatial or analytics experience
