Position Overview

Are you a strategic, service-oriented leader with experience in business and education? BYU-Pathway Worldwide is seeking a Portuguese Program Lead for Applied Business Management to support the delivery of an online degree program in partnership with BYU-Idaho. In this impactful role, you'll guide a growing network of online instructors, support curriculum improvement, and personally teach courses—helping students in Brazil access high-quality business education rooted in faith and purpose. This is more than an academic position—it's a leadership role that combines professional expertise, people management, and a passion for student success in a gospel-centered environment.

This position plays a critical role in the successful launch and long-term success of the Applied Business Management degree in Portuguese, offered through BYU-Idaho and supported by BYU-Pathway Worldwide. You'll directly influence instructor quality, curriculum effectiveness, and student success across Brazil—building capacity in faithful learners and future leaders.

Important Information
  • This is currently a remote work position based in Brazil.
  • You must have a reliable internet connection and be able to work across international time zones as needed to coordinate with U.S.-based partners.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and manage a team of online instructors teaching business-related courses in Portuguese (e.g., management, marketing, accounting, finance).
  • Coordinate curriculum feedback and support course improvement in partnership with BYU-Idaho faculty and the BYU-Pathway Worldwide academic team.
  • Teach online courses in Portuguese within the Applied Business Management degree program.
  • Support quality assurance for teaching and learning experiences across your assigned courses.
  • Mentor and develop instructors, providing feedback, training, and ongoing support.
  • Promote program growth by contributing to strategic conversations and long-term planning.
What We're Looking For
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree in business administration or a related field.
  • At least five (5) years of professional work experience in business, education, or a related field.
  • Fluency in both Portuguese and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
  • Subject matter expertise in one or more of the following: management, sales, marketing, entrepreneurship, accounting, finance, or other business fields.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing and training teams or employees.
  • Online or higher education teaching experience.
  • Passion for learner-centered instruction and continuous improvement.
