JOB DESCRIPTION

The Product Owner (PO) for the Revenue Management System (RMS) is responsible for shaping and delivering integrated solutions that support pricing, demand forecasting, and revenue optimization. This role involves managing initiatives that span data engineering, machine learning, and user-facing interfaces. In addition to gathering and managing business requirements, the PO will be responsible for overseeing the full delivery lifecycle to ensure successful execution from concept through release.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and maintain a backlog of features and enhancements spanning data pipelines, predictive models, and RMS user interfaces.

Identify and prioritize high-value opportunities to optimize pricing strategies and demand forecasting.

Gather, analyze, and document business requirements and translate them into detailed epics and user stories with clear descriptions, business rules, and acceptance criteria.

Own the full delivery lifecycle of features and enhancements, ensuring timely execution, alignment with stakeholders, and readiness for deployment.

Collaborate with Data Engineering on requirements for data sourcing, integration, and quality.

Partner with Data Science to define, deploy, and iterate on ML models and pricing algorithms.

Align with UI/UX and front-end teams to ensure a seamless user experience.

Facilitate cross-functional workshops and planning sessions with business stakeholders.

Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess product success and user adoption.

Ensure accurate documentation in Confluence and Jira for themes, epics, and tasks.

Coordinate with QA to validate features and ensure delivery meets requirements.

Promote continuous iteration based on stakeholder feedback and performance data.

Drive change management and support user training for new RMS features.

Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory standards.

Identify and mitigate risks associated with process and system changes.

Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Perform other job-related functions as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

FIELD(S) OF STUDY:

Business Management, Data Analytics, or related fields

EXPERIENCE;
  • At least 3 years of experience in end-to-end product ownership, product management, or delivery of data or optimization platforms.
  • Experience working across Data Engineering, Data Science, and UI Development teams, as well with multiple stakeholders and brand Revenue Management teams.
  • Experience working in Agile software development environments with cross-functional teams.
  • Industry experience in cruise, travel, or enterprise data systems is a plus.
COMPETENCIES/SKILLS
  • Exposure to revenue management, pricing systems, or forecasting tools is preferred
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and iterative development
  • Familiarity with data pipelines, ML model lifecycle, and modern UI patterns
  • Ability to define and refine user stories across technical and business domains
  • Proficient in Jira, Confluence, and backlog management tools

This team oversees the sales/marketing strategy for our website, including driving organic traffic through search engine optimization (SEO), deploying continual A/B and MVT experiments to improve site performance, and managing the content across the site.

The Product Owner II drives strategic execution of our website's initiatives by managing our IT backlog from a true business standpoint, prioritizing features/user stories, communicating our vision throughout the PI cycle, aligning with stakeholders, and incorporating processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the IT backlog with a business-first lens, ensuring delivery of high-impact features and enhancements.
  • Prioritize user stories and technical requests to support SEO growth, A/B and MVT testing, and content optimization.
  • Collaborate with marketing, UX, analytics, and development/IT teams to align on goals and execution plans.
  • Communicate product vision and roadmap clearly throughout the PI cycle and sprint planning.
  • Monitor performance metrics and site outcomes to validate business hypotheses and inform future iterations.
  • Support process development and documentation to improve team efficiency and delivery consistency.
  • Ensure stakeholder alignment across legal, product, and marketing functions for seamless execution.
