A leading chemical company in Sorocaba, Brazil, is seeking a Procurement Specialist for LATAM Pools. The role involves sourcing materials in alignment with procurement strategies, building strategic supplier partnerships, and managing supplier performance audits. Role Summary And Key Accountabilities
Sourcing of target materials for the LATAM region of Pool Solutions in alignment with global procurement strategies and best practices
Understanding of assigned categories including market analysis, creation of sourcing strategies, preparing and running request for proposals, negotiating, implementing contracts and tracking supplier performance and results.
Build and maintain positive, strategic partnerships with key suppliers.
Identifying, gaining commitment and implementing profit improvement opportunities to create structured and sustained cost advantages.
Identify and develop preferred supplier network and achieve supplier consolidation
Developing baseline costs and make vs. buy analysis modeling to drive data-driven decision making.
Providing forward looking guidance on regional trends, threats, and opportunities for target categories
Creating risk mitigation and contingency plans
Collaborate and develop strong relationships with global and regional Sourcing, Supply Chain, R&D and Marketing and other internal stakeholders
Understand and communicate KPIs with respect to PPV, OTIF, Working Capital and Cost Out
Other Responsibilities
Oversee periodic supplier audits and measure supplier performance.
Manage intermittent supply issues and support planning organizations to ensure supplier performance and compliance.
Develop appropriate communications to advise Business of supplier performance and work together with Quality department to make sure suppliers comply with quality requirements.
Coordinate with broader Global team as appropriate
SAP Workflow items (vendor requests, material requests, etc.)
Utilize e-technologies as applicable (Coupa, SFDC, reverse auctions, etc.)
Ensure compliance with Solenis Environmental, Health & Safety, and Responsible Care programs
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and English
Bachelor's Degree in applicable field of work, e.g. Business, Supply Chain, Science or Engineering.
3-5 years of relevant functional experience with a focus on sourcing, supply chain, process excellence, and project / program management.
Experience with ERPs, supply chain collaboration and e-procurement tools such as SAP, Salesforce.com, Tableau and others
Excellent knowledge of typical professional computer programs including MS Word, Excel, Power Point
Ability to work effectively in a geographically distributed organization
Hands on and problem-solving mentality.
Ability to work in a matrix environment.
Strong negotiating and project management skills
Strong organization
Strong written, oral communication, and presentation skills
Proven track record of driving results, ability to influence and work collaboratively in cross-regional and cross-functional teams
