MONITORING & EVALUATION SPECIALIST III
Resumé must be submitted in English. This career specialist will be an M&E Specialist for Complementary Interventions. The specialist will be responsible for designing M&E frameworks, indicators, survey instruments, and training materials; data analyses, drafting reports, advising on data visualizations, and supporting National Offices in implementing donor-initiated Complementary Interventions. This is a re-purposed position focused on monitoring and evaluating complementary interventions in LAC.
What Will You Do?
- Champion Child Protection & Advocacy: Advocate for the rights and needs of children, uphold Christ-centered child protection principles, comply with Compassion’s Child Protection Commitment and Code of Conduct, and promptly report and support responses to any concerns of abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
- Promote Organizational Culture & Holistic Child Development: Model and advance Compassion’s core Cultural Behaviors while championing holistic child development across programs and decision-making.
- Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Expertise: Provide subject matter expertise in designing, implementing, and strengthening high-quality monitoring and evaluation systems to measure program inputs, outputs, and outcomes across multiple sectors (e.g., education, health, livelihoods, food security).
- Project & Evaluation Management: Lead evaluation activities end-to-end, including Statements of Work, M&E frameworks, data collection protocols, timelines, and stakeholder coordination.
- Data Collection & Analysis: Design and implement surveys (baseline, midline, endline), apply appropriate quantitative and qualitative methods, and build surveys using platforms such as ODK and Kobo Toolbox (including YAML development).
- Capacity Building & Technical Support: Build capacity of national, regional, and global staff by sharing industry standards, national policies, and best practices in monitoring, evaluation, and learning.
- Data Communication & Collaboration: Translate complex findings into clear, actionable insights through written and oral reporting, and collaborate with Data Insights teams to develop effective data visualizations for diverse stakeholders.
What Should You Bring?
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Industrial Engineering or related fields.
- Master’s degree or professional certification in Monitoring and Evaluation, Public Health, International Development, Humanitarian Studies or a related field is desired.
- Seven years' relevant experience working in an international development setting with an emphasis on evaluation or research.
- Experience in designing and conducting evaluations is required.
- Experience with online survey tools and conducting quantitative analysis in Excel and statistical software packages (STATA, R) is required.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write fluently in English and Spanish.

Working Conditions:
- Modality: Remote work
- Location: Must reside in Colombia, Peru, Brazil, Ecuador, Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Haiti and Dominican Republic.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Physical Demands: Sitting, standing, and/or walking up to 8 hours per day
- Travel Requirements: May require travel up to 25% of working hours.
