Compensation: Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000 annually

Position Overview

Shift and Status

• Full-Time position
• Earn up to $53/hour of additional pay for shift pick-ups
• Earn 12% more for hours worked after 3 PM
• Competitive compensation package including pension and retirement plan

Position Summary

The Medical Technologist performs laboratory tests accurately and efficiently while following standard operating procedures. Responsibilities include:

• Operating laboratory equipment and understanding the principles behind test methods.
• Performing precise specimen analysis and reporting results accurately.
• Recognizing deviations from expected results, analyzing, and resolving problems using scientific principles.
• Completing QC Action Logs, preventive maintenance logs, and pending lists daily.
• Assisting in the training and development of new personnel; evaluating progress and making recommendations for improvement.
• Continuously assessing work processes and proposing enhancements for efficiency, cost reduction, and problem-solving.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or related Science field
• Valid New York State License for Clinical Laboratory Technologist
• Minimum of 3 years of generalist experience
• ASCP MT (American Society for Clinical Pathology) certification preferred
