Responsibilities

• Responsible for technical leadership of the Mechanical team.
• Ensure that safety standards and compliance codes are met.
• Lead and develop a team in multidisciplinary tasks.
• Oversee the training and scheduling of workers.
• Help the planning sector create new technical and administrative procedures.
• Motivate the team and provide feedback on their work.
• Participate in hiring and termination decisions.
• Track payroll and overtime, keeping the mechanical budget within corporate mandates.
• Ensure spare parts are stocked for emergency repairs and purchase supplies based on priority and cost‑benefit.
• Provide technical guidance to the mechanics team to improve their knowledge.
• Observe and test machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
• Analyze test results and propose equipment improvements.
• Develop new suppliers when necessary.
• Plan and oversee corrective and preventive maintenance actions.
• Support technicians in speeding up maintenance processes for hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical systems, utilities, and plant production machinery.
• Keep records of mechanical maintenance in registers, forms, and TOTV’s.
• Report to the HOD on important issues, incidents, and deviations that could affect associates or facilities.
• Suggest continuous improvements in process, safety, and team performance.
• Report decisions about relevant changes in process or procedures (technical or administrative).
• Ensure the team works in accordance with health and safety standards and updated procedures, including hazardous operations (thermal oil system, compressors, heating system).
• Guarantee participation in all safety training required by the company and local codes.
