Responsible for leading and driving operations strategy for the Gilbarco Veeder-Root's Brazil manufacturing site.

Drives the operational function in a complex manufacturing and assembly operation with oversight over Safety, Quality, Order fulfilment, Procurement and Trade & Compliance, Delivery, Working Capital, and Profitability.

Fosters a culture of problem solving and continuous improvement through the continuous deployment of the Vontier Business System.

Builds bench strength through proactive talent management and development while also maintaining constructive employee relations with the hourly workforce.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deploy strategic plans and manage performance for all operation functional areas for a $30 million volume business with 6 direct reports including Quality, Order Fulfilment, Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Procurement, Materials, Logistics and Production.
  • Own and manage site working capital performance with a focus on inventory management and revenue linearity.
  • Management of KPI's, Capex and Expense Budget in the Operations areas.
  • Co-Own and drive the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to effectively convert orders and financial inputs into effective operational plans to achieve revenue, inventory, and gross margin targets.
  • Own and manage factory capacity utilization through Heijunka and Cost Per Crate to be aligned with Standard Cost & Financial budget and improve the OEE metric.
  • Overseeing and coordinating all order fulfilment activities relate to SP Factory, including order handling, processing, order confirmation, delivery date, picking, packing and shipping, as well as ensuring compliance with legal requirements and corporate policies.
  • Own and manage the Procurement and Trade & Compliance for a $20 million related to Direct and Indirect materials to improve the PPV (Product Price variation) for Material & Logistic cost reduction and the DPO (Days Payable Outstanding) for payment term extension.
  • Interface between SP factory and Product global teams, supporting strategy for Localization and Simplification projects.
  • Co-Own and support the management of the Integrated Management System (ISO , ISO and ISO ) for all Gilbarco origins in the Latin America region.
  • Own and manage the AEO Program (Authorized Economic Operator) for Import and Export processes (Brazilian government certification program based on compliance with TAX and CUSTOMS legislation).
  • Implementation of Ex-tariff & Drawback regime process in Brazil for Import taxes temporary reduction.
  • Drive the talent review process in partnership with direct reports and the People & Culture team to proactively address talent gaps and build the talent pipeline.
  • Partner with Customer Success, Sales & Marketing, Product and R&D functions to understand customer pain points and implement operational improvements to address.
  • Continue the building of a proactive behavior-based Safety culture with a relentless pursuit to zero workplace injuries.
  • Foster environmental stewardship and leverage VBS to reduce site carbon footprint as measured by Greenhouse Gas Emissions.
  • Promote a culture that reflects the company's core values, encourage outstanding performance, and create a positive work environment.
  • Act as a VBS champion and direct continuous improvement to drive efficiency across all operational aspects.
  • Lead site communications and the thoughtful cascade of information to the workforce.
  • Assure awareness of the significant environmental aspects and environmental compliance obligations of your operations and ensure controls are in place.
Background and Skill
  • Four-year college degree required.
  • Engineering degree and advanced / master's degree in business highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10+ years comprehensive manufacturing experience.
  • Experience in various operational environments including fabrication and electro-mechanical assembly.
  • Experience in various operational process flow designs including batch processing, highly-configured assembly, Just-In-Time (JIT) sequenced production and distribution pick and pack operations.
  • Extensive knowledge of inventory management processes and systems with particular emphasis on pull replenishment systems.
  • A practitioner of lean manufacturing with hands‑on implementation experience (not just sustainment of what a consultant implemented).
  • Working knowledge of quality management systems and experience working across product design, transactional systems and factory processes to drive quality improvements.
  • Working knowledge of project / program management practices and direct experience managing new product introductions in a factory setting.
  • Business acumen - working knowledge of income statement and balance sheet mechanics with the ability to translate impact of actions on the shop floor to the financials.
