THE POSITION
The Head of Event Services shall have dual reporting to the Event Services Director in FIFA HQ Zurich and to the Executive Operations Director. Under the leadership of the FIFA HQ team, they shall ensure the successful operational planning, management and implementation of the Accommodation, Travel, Logistics, Transport and Guest Operations projects for the FIFA Women’s World Cup™ (“FWWC”).
The Head of Event Services will work together with the Event Services Team in FIFA HQ Zurich to ensure:
- Drive FIFA's leadership in Event Services, encompassing the above areas.
- Ensure suitable and efficient business models and processes for operation across multiple different events, of different scales, simultaneously, across all areas under auspice.
- Continuously assess and propose improvements to the requirements and regulations for the services. Integrate these enhancements into the Master Project Plans and detailed budgets, ensuring stakeholder alignment and cost-effective delivery for each event within the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 project.
- Follow the trends of the industry to be ready to anticipate changes in a responsible and timely manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Excellence and Project Delivery
- Plan and execute projects and services, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Executive Operations Director regarding all service-related matters, representing the Director on various occasions as needed.
- Develop and implement efficient project plans and procedures for all tournaments and events in collaboration with other Subdivisions, ensuring seamless execution.
Collaboration and Team Integration
- Contribute to the overall success of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 as an active member of the management team, fostering strong collaboration across FIFA27.
- Ensure the Event Services department consistently delivers high-quality services to tournament project teams, positioning itself as a key service provider.
- Collaborate with other departments to share responsibility for the FWWC’s overall success, ensuring alignment with broader goals and objectives, and maintaining a focus on the big picture.
Stakeholder Engagement and Networking
- Cultivate close cooperation with staff members across all divisions to ensure an exceptional user experience (UX). This includes coordinating with FIFA stakeholders, local FIFA subsidiaries, stadium/venue owners, host associations, local authorities, and third-party partners to create optimal conditions.
- Share relevant information within the FIFA27 and with other internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

- A minimum sports event management experience of 5 years, ideally on an international level in the Event Services (Accommodation, Travel, Logistics, Transport and Guest Operations).
- Extensive knowledge of event and sport facility operations
- Strong knowledge of event planning and event project management processes
- Strong administrative and IT skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to effectively monitor organisational performance and implement decisive corrective actions
- Right to work in Brazil.

- Ability to re-locate to Rio de Janeiro soon.
