Qualificações

At Rosebel Gold Mines N.V., we are committed to responsible mining practices and operational excellence. The Mill Electrical Department is seeking a dedicated E/I Services Technician Level II to perform skilled tasks in the construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead and underground electrical distribution systems. Operating with moderate supervision, this role demonstrates proficiency in troubleshooting, equipment installation, and fault resolution. The technician contributes to system reliability and safety while mentoring entry-level personnel and supporting operational planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently perform installation, maintenance, and repair of power lines, transformers, insulators, generators, and switching equipment.

• Troubleshoot faults in transmission and distribution systems and implement corrective actions.

• Safely operate and maintain specialized equipment including bucket trucks, diggers, and testing instruments.

• Lead small crews in field operations and ensure compliance with safety protocols.

• Respond to outages and coordinate restoration efforts with minimal supervision.

• Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance on pole and pad-mounted transformers, HV breakers, generators, and disconnects.

• Support training and mentoring of entry-level technicians.

• Document work activities, fault analysis, and maintenance records accurately.

• Participate in planning and execution of distribution system upgrades.

• Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools and vehicles.

The ideal Candidate will have:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Completion of a pre-apprenticeship or vocational training in electrical or utility work.

• Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems and switching equipment.

• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions.

• Physically fit and able to lift heavy equipment.

• Valid driver’s license.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; fluent in English, Dutch is an asset.

• A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.

• A willingness to work on a 14-day on/7-day off rotational schedule in Brokopondo.
