The Strategy and Transformation (S&T) function is accountable to lead the development, execution, and evolution of AGCO's corporate strategy. This includes on-going analysis of the industry and competitive landscape, translating the strategy into business plans, leading a multiyear roadmap of strategic initiatives with expected value creation targets, and establishing change management strategies.
To deliver on those expectations, the S&T function includes Business Strategy Leads, Data & Analytics, Results Delivery Office, Corporate Communications, Culture, and Change Management.
The strategy director role for the Massey Ferguson business, directs strategy development for the global brand, including an ongoing evaluation of the group's performance, strengths and weaknesses, and competitive landscape to identify new growth opportunities.
This role analyzes the impact of strategic options for Massey Ferguson, partnering with the Massey Ferguson Brand Sr Vice President to develop and enable strategic business plans aligned with the corporate strategy.
This role leads the brand portfolio of initiatives, including business case development, prioritization, strategic project execution, and value capture.
This role will closely work with Massey Ferguson global leadership, including regional vice‑presidents, global and regional marketing teams, and finance.
As the lead strategist for Massey Ferguson, this role will work with the S&T Data and Analytics team in building market and customer intelligence to evaluate the evolving impact of industry trends and market forces on the business.
In addition, this role also supports the overall South American region, working with in‑region leaders across Massey Ferguson, Fendt / Valtra, Grains and Proteins, and Precision Ag & Digital, Finance, HR, Operations, etc.
The strategy director will play a critical role in ensuring the cross‑functional cohesion and integration of the region, aligning regional ambitions, strategies and initiatives.
S / He will also lead cross‑functional strategic projects that impact the region and will be the point of contact for data gathering or insights about South America.
It is expected that about 80% of the focus is global Massey Ferguson and 20% on supporting the South American Region.
This role will report directly to the VP of Corporate Strategy & Transformation as a member of the S&T Leadership team.
The role also has a dotted line to the SVP of Massey Ferguson and serves as a member of the Massey Leadership Team.
Leverages market and customer intelligence, trend analysis, and predictive statistics to identify potential business opportunities and risks.
Drives cross functional collaboration to scope, resource, and execute the selected initiatives.
Prepares proposals, reports, or presentations demonstrating the potential value of new business opportunities.
Partners closely with the sales & marketing function to ensure strong business development strategies and capabilities to assess new markets, evaluate business development opportunities, and enables new customer acquisition.
Ensures alignment of evolving customer needs with the AGCO product portfolio and brand strategies to ensure solutions best serve the current and future needs of the growers and producers associated with the brand.
