Demand Planning Manager Job Description

In this role, you will:

  • The Demand Planning Coordinator for Private Label is responsible for delivering accurate, strategic demand forecasts and exclusive product development for the local B2B market.
  • This role is critical to ensuring product availability, optimizing inventory, and supporting sustainable growth of private label brands while maintaining high service levels and competitiveness.
  • Lead Private Label Development: Manage partnerships and oversee projects for supplying exclusive products to national retail clients, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Procurement, Product Development, and Supply Chain teams to guarantee availability and adherence to lead times.
  • Demand Forecasting: Develop and update demand plans based on historical sales, market trends, and strategic insights from Commercial and Marketing teams.
  • Integrate Strategic Initiatives: Incorporate new product launches, promotional campaigns, and seasonal trends into demand planning.
  • S&OP Participation: Actively contribute to the Sales & Operations Planning process, ensuring alignment between demand, production capacity, and supplier timelines.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs such as forecast accuracy, service level, inventory coverage, and supplier performance.
  • Data & Tools: Utilize ERP systems, forecasting tools, and advanced Excel for strategic analysis and reporting.
  • Built Private Label Area from Scratch: Defined processes, governance, and service model.
  • Portfolio Development: Created a portfolio for over 20 regional and national retail clients, positioning the company as a strategic private label supplier.
  • End‑to‑End Project Management: Managed full development cycle—briefing, testing, homologation, production, and delivery.
  • Innovation Pipeline: Designed an annual pipeline of competitive SKUs in Tissue categories (Toilet Paper and Towels), aligned with retail needs and consumer trends.
  • Commercial Negotiations: Secured healthy margins and competitiveness while aligning with retailers’ brand positioning.
  • Financial Milestone: Achieved operational breakeven ahead of plan while guiding retailers on branding, technical requirements, and category potential.
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensured quality audits, certifications, and regulatory compliance across all products.
  • Time‑to‑Market Acceleration: Reduced project delivery time from 5 months to 3 months through optimized processes.
  • Relationship Building: Established long‑term partnerships with retail teams (Purchasing, Private Label, Supply, Quality), increasing order recurrence and integrating private label into JBP negotiations.
  • Multi‑Project Management: Successfully managed multiple projects simultaneously with strong focus on deadlines, KPIs, and client satisfaction.
  • Strong knowledge of forecasting tools and data analysis.
