ABOUT THE TEAM

The Data Protection Operations (DPO) team is responsible for all data protection operations at SAP.

Based on legal requirements, the DPO provides guidelines, tools, structured methodologies, and consulting to all lines of business.

The team collaborates with a wide-ranging global network of data protection champions from all business units.

THE ROLE

As a Data Protection Associate in the dynamic Data Protection Operations team you act as main driver for data protection compliance of SAP's cloud products and services as well as trusted advisor for business specific data protection topics.

In this role your primary tasks will include :

• Enablement and training of key contacts on data protection
• Define and align data protection requirements based on SAP standards
• Performance of gap analysis to improve compliance ratings and identify potential risks
• Follow‑up on identified gaps and escalation to management, as appropriate
• Support of data protection cross projects in cooperation with other teams
• Alignment with other business units for continuous compliance improvement

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• Successfully completed degree in business administration, business information or adjacent disciplines (university or university of applied sciences)
• Technical expertise of SAP’s cloud products and services in IT security and data protection compliance
• Strong analytical skills to drive root cause analysis for complex problems
• Project management skills
• Motivation to work both as an individual and collaboratively in virtual teams
• Excellent communication skills in English

WORK EXPERIENCE

• Professional experience in a relevant area
• International experience would be an asset for collaboration with multi‑national teams
• Experience in data protection and privacy, data management and / or audit is a plus
