Qualificações

  • Approximately 6 years of total experience: ideally 3 years in a Big Four audit firm + 3 years in a tech, fintech, or VC-backed company.
  • Background working with accounting/financial BPOs or external audit.
  • Understanding of basic taxation (payroll, withholding taxes, indirect taxes).

Responsabilidades

  • Coordinate external BPOs for finance, accounting, payroll.
  • Manage daily and projected cash flow.
  • Oversee the full Accounts Payable cycle.

About the Role

As Controller, you will structure and operate Crown's financial and accounting routines in Brazil.

This is a hands‑on role — the first hire in the function — with ownership over :

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordination of external BPOs (finance, accounting, payroll)
  • Treasury operations
  • Accounts payable and core financial routines
  • Administrative support
Strategic partnership to the CFO
  • BPO Coordination – Main point of contact for accounting, financial, and payroll BPOs.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial statements, monthly close, payroll, taxes, and statutory obligations.
  • Review classifications, reconciliations, and documentation.
  • Prepare materials for audits and external stakeholders.
  • Treasury – Brazil Operation: manage daily and projected cash flow.
  • Maintain relationships with banks, custodians, and financial partners.
  • Execute investments and redemptions under CFO guidelines.
  • Oversee approval limits, controls, and internal policies.
  • Accounts Payable – Manage the full AP cycle: invoice review, classification, approval workflow, and payments.
  • Oversee reimbursements, advances, expenses, and corporate cards.
  • Ensure compliance and proper documentation.
  • Administrative Support – Maintain contracts, vendor onboarding, and corporate documentation.
  • Act as an operational connector across finance, legal, HR, and operations.
  • Strategic Exposure & Support – Work directly with the CFO.
  • Support planning, KPIs, management reporting, and special projects.
  • Contribute to ERP implementation, automation, and control improvements.
Technical Requirements
  • Approximately 6 years of total experience: ideally 3 years in a Big Four audit firm + 3 years in a tech, fintech, or VC‑backed company.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields.
  • CRC certification.
  • Hands‑on experience in controllership, accounting, finance, or audit.
  • Background working with accounting/financial BPOs or external audit.
  • Strong command of reconciliations, monthly close, cash flow, and AP cycle.
  • Understanding of basic taxation (payroll, withholding taxes, indirect taxes).
  • Experience with ERPs such as Omie, NetSuite, QuickBooks, Totvs, or similar.
  • Familiarity with digital banks and financial automation tools.
  • Fluent English (reading and communication with global partners).

  • Experience building controllership / finance structures from scratch.
  • Experience integrating ERP, banking, and internal systems.
