For this position, you will be responsible for:

• Main Activities: The Controller is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the financial statements for the Belo Horizonte legal entity and to provide the needed support to the business management team to achieve targets.
• Ensuring all Valmet finance accounting principles and reporting guidelines and deadlines are met and fully compliant.
• Working collaboratively with Fabrics Business and SA Finance teams.
• Providing advice and control in the financials of the company and its organization, validating the accounting information, generating management reports for the company's decision making.
• Accurate and timely financial and management reporting, in compliance with Valmet guidelines and local statutory requirements.
• Analyzing financial information and other relevant information to support the main operating decisions of the business unit.
• Production cost control and its reporting development.
• Pointing out the financial implications and consequences of business decisions, working with other function managers to contextualize the financial view.
• Ensuring the legal and accounting compliance that governs the processes that are developed in the different areas of the company.

To have success in this position, it is important to fill the requirement below:

Qualifications

• Graduation in Accounting Sciences (Accountant), Business Administration, Economics, or other equivalent.
• Solid experience in the financial / controllership area.
• Fluent English, written and oral.
• Fluent Portuguese, written and oral.
• Advanced knowledge in Office package, mainly in Excel, Power Point, and Word.
• Previous experience in coordinating activities.
• Previous experience working with ERP (SAP desirable).
• Knowledge in management reporting and governance systems.
• Good communication skills, proactivity, interpersonal skills, ability to achieve results with customer and goal orientation, analytical ability, committed, organized, and responsible.
• Confidentiality is also very important.
• Availability to work in Belo Horizonte/Vespasiano/Brazil area.
