Responsibilities
- Monitor sites for regulatory and company policy compliance through quarterly on-site reviews.
- Verify compliance with rules and regulations from various funding sources, Fair Housing standards, and organizational policies.
- Recommend corrective actions to resolve noncompliance issues and assist property managers in implementing solutions.
- Provide compliance-related consultative services to site managers and administrative staff.
- Identify trends in noncompliance and suggest changes to policies, procedures, and training.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in property management or a housing regulatory agency.
- Experience in multi-regional property management is preferred.
- Certifications such as Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS), Certified Professional of Occupancy (CPO), or Tax Credit Specialist (TCS) are desirable.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws related to affordable multi-family housing development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certifications such as Site Compliance Specialist (SCS) or Specialist in Housing Credit Management (SHCM).
- Experience working in a nonprofit housing organization.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work as part of a team.
- Self-starter attitude with a focus on completing tasks and achieving goals.
- Familiarity with various funding sources and compliance standards in the housing sector.
