Overview
POSITION SUMMARY: Under minimal supervision, manages and directs the activity of multiple Insured claims units, ensuring high-quality results and management of claims in compliance with state laws and company/client procedures. This position requires considerable interaction with the clients, management, other Claims Examiners, and other TRISTAR staff in the office and/or virtually; therefore, consistently being at work in the (virtual) office promptly is inherently required of this position. Periodic travel to in-person meetings with clients, prospective clients, brokers and internal TRISTAR functions/meetings.

Responsibilities
- Directly manages one or more department Supervisors, multiple Claims Examiners, and clerical staff. Includes monitoring attendance, job performance, evaluations, and disciplinary issues.
- Accomplishes department objectives by supervising staff, organizing and monitoring work processes, and evaluating satisfactory product output.
- Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees and developing personal growth opportunities for advancement.
- Accomplishes Supervisor and Claims Examiner job results by coaching and counseling employees.
- Reports issues regarding performance management concerns and claims inventory management/variances to Area Manager – Liability Claims.
- Prepares monthly and quarterly reports at the direction of the Area Manager – Liability Claims.
- Assist in monitoring Continued Education Claims for the claims Team license compliance.
- Implements and enforces systems, policies, and procedures.
- Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing organization standards and adhering to legal regulations.
- Completes operations by developing schedules, assigning and monitoring work of Supervisors and claims Examiner(s) as may be assigned for direct reporting, gathering resources, implementing productivity standards, resolving operations problems, maintaining reference manuals, and implementing new procedures. Provides quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related measurable results as directed by the Area Manager – Liability Claims.
- Review and assist in coverage issue evaluation and take an active role in reviewing and approving RORs and coverage denials.
- Strong Coverage Analysis Required and refined leadership skills, including performance management of the Supervisor and claims examiner direct reports.
- Refined Bodily Injury and Damage Assessment Skills Required.
- Given that all the adjusters and clerical assistants are in different time zones, the supervisor will need to be accessible by phone for the different time zones.

Qualifications
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred); three (3) to five (5) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
