What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collaborate with local management to strategize and implement project pursuits and delivery efforts
- Supervise and guide staff to facilitate smooth design and plan development processes
- Engage in the design phases of roadways, highways, and interstates, overseeing projects from preliminary to final design stages
- Build and nurture relationships with both external and internal clients
- Create plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates in accordance with project requirements
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or higher
- 10+ years of progressive experience designing and delivering Illinois transportation projects
- Licensed Project Engineer (P.E.) in the state of Illinois
- Experience as project manager or lead roadway engineer on IDOT projects
- Proficient at using MicroStation and/or Inroads (Open Roads Designer)
