Essential Functions
  • Under general direction, formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and requirements.
  • Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.
  • Includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirement specifications.
  • Prioritize development items to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Work closely with US/Canada business unit to understand their data and reporting needs.
  • Identify and prioritize additional data fields and elements required for more granular reporting and analytics.
  • Analyze current data availability and identify gaps in data needed to meet business reporting and analytic requirements.
  • Define and document the necessary transformations required to combine business unit data with enterprise-level data in the EDP.
  • Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines to ingest data from various sources into the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP).
  • Assist in the development of scalable processes to ensure efficient data flow and integration for the US/Canada business.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the US/Canada business unit for all data and IT-related matters.
  • Foster a strong relationship between the business and Enterprise System, acting as a strategic partner to align technology solutions with business needs.
  • Facilitate regular communications between the business and EDP team to ensure ongoing collaboration and transparency.
  • Attend daily stand-up calls with the development team to gain status updates and address team queries.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Data Science or Business Administration, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, data engineering, or business relationship management, preferably in the healthcare or life sciences industry.
  • Knowledge of business-wide applications (e.g. third party software and internal operational applications, etc.) or IQVIA client facing applications and products.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand client requirements as well as underlying infrastructure applications, systems and processes to enable execution of those skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Tableau) and familiarity with database management systems.
  • Experience with data pipeline development and ETL processes.
  • Strong understanding of business process modeling, requirements gathering, and project management methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and manage relationships with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of IQVIA data and current systems a plus
  • Familiarity with Snowflake a plus
