Job Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities for high-rise buildings, including lighting systems, wiring, emergency power systems, and other electrical components.
- Lead a team of electricians, apprentices, and electrical technicians, ensuring work is completed on schedule, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
- Plan and delegate tasks to electrical team members, monitoring performance and providing guidance to meet project objectives.
- Review and interpret electrical blueprints, technical drawings, and building specifications to guide the installation of electrical systems and equipment.
- Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues in high-rise environments, including power distribution, lighting control systems, and backup power systems.
- Conduct site inspections and quality assurance checks to ensure proper installation, system integration, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Coordinate electrical work with other trades (plumbing, HVAC, general contractors) to ensure smooth integration of electrical systems with other building systems.
- Oversee the installation of electrical equipment, including circuit breakers, transformers, distribution panels, and lighting controls, ensuring that it meets project specifications and design.
- Ensure that the electrical team is following all safety guidelines, conducting regular safety meetings, and adhering to OSHA and local safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of daily work, labor hours, materials used, and safety compliance.
- Monitor the supply of materials, tools, and equipment needed for electrical installations and repairs, ensuring they are readily available and properly maintained.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior team members, assisting with the troubleshooting of complex issues as needed.
- Regularly report progress, challenges, and any potential delays to project managers and senior leadership.
- Manage emergency electrical repairs, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to building operations.
- Ensure that electrical work is done efficiently, with energy conservation and sustainability in mind, wherever applicable.
