Job summary

A leading steel fabrication company in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to oversee operations in their facility. The successful candidate will manage the daily activities to ensure production efficiency and quality control, while leading the workshop team to meet project deadlines. This role requires a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in steel fabrication and strong technical knowledge in welding processes. The ideal candidate will also have a relevant degree and excellent organizational skills.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Workshop Manager to oversee operations in our steel fabrication facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daytoday shop activities ensuring production efficiency, quality control team leadership and ontime project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily operations of the steel fabrication workshop.
• Plan and allocate manpower tools and materials as per production schedules.
• Ensure timely fabrication and delivery of structural steel piping and pressure vessel components.
• Coordinate with Project QA/QC Planning and Procurement teams to meet deadlines.
• Implement and maintain safety protocols and ensure compliance with HSE policies.
• Review technical drawings and ensure production meets specified standards.
• Monitor machine maintenance and ensure optimum utilization of resources.
• Maintain inventory and ensure proper usage of materials to avoid wastage.
• Mentor and train workshop personnel to maintain high skill and performance levels.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 10 years of experience in steel fabrication and workshop management.
• Proven experience in managing fabrication teams and production workflows.
• Strong technical understanding of structural steel welding processes and fabrication machinery.
• Familiarity with quality control standards and fabrication codes.
