Role Overview

As a WebMethods Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining APIs and integration solutions using the Software AG webMethods suite. You’ll play a key role in building secure, scalable, and high-performing integrations across multiple systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain APIs and integration solutions using webMethods (API Gateway, Integration Server, Universal Messaging, etc.)
• Build REST & SOAP APIs, API policies, and implement security & versioning strategies
• Develop custom services and flows using webMethods Designer (Flow & Java services)
• Configure and manage the API Gateway (security, throttling, logging, analytics)
• Implement data transformations with XSLT / XSD
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across integration flows, connectors, and endpoints
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket)
• Monitor & optimize API performance, ensuring scalability and reliability
• Follow best practices for security, maintainability, and performance
