Job summary

A leading oil company in the UAE seeks a TTLR Operator responsible for managing Tank Truck Loading activities and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in petrochemical or oil refinery environments. Responsibilities include loading Asphalt Trucks, operating heating systems, and overseeing safety inspections. Candidates should have a Diploma in Engineering or equivalent and familiarity with IMS procedures. A valid UAE driving license is recommended.

Job Purpose

The terminal operator TTLR is responsible for carrying out all the TTLR (Tank Truck Loading Rack) activities, including the loading of Asphalt Trucks and operating the Asphalt Heating System.

Principal Accountabilities
  • TTLR Operations.
    • Loading Tank Trucks for all types of products e.g. DGO, ULG‑95/98, Jet‑A1 and Asphalt.
    • Responsible for the required Safety Inspection and regulatory compliance of all trucks entering EIL Terminals.
    • Executing and verifying all the documentation related to Tank Truck Loading.
    • Ensure that all the TTLR and Asphalt Unit Operation are performed safely as per EIL/HTL operating and safety procedures/work instructions.
  • Asphalt Unit Operations.
    • Operating the Asphalt Unit necessary to load Asphalt Tank Trucks.
    • Following the Work Instructions concerning the Asphalt tank truck Operations.
  • Safety.
    • Assigned as fire‑responder during emergencies, report according to the ERP.
    • Maintain a high level of emergency preparedness and follow mock drills as and when required as per line managers’ direction.
    • Work as a team with others to promote a safety culture in all the employees.
    • Monitor during site surveys that “Permit to Work” system is strictly enforced with EIL staff/ contractors/ maintenance works.
    • Stop any unsafe work/act on spot and report to the line manager.
  • IMS.
    • Closely monitor the operations- and related documentation as mentioned in the IMS, follow up to close all gaps through necessary preparation till closure of the incident report as per line manager’s guidance.
    • Assist line manager when conducting Risk assessments and with corrective and preventive actions.
    • Monitoring and following of all the related IMS programs.
    • Maintaining the required quality records as per line manager’s guidance/instruction.
  • Equipment.
    • Inspect and report on the status of TTLR monitoring and control equipment like flow meters, loading units, etc.
    • Cleaning and replacing of filters & strainers and monitor the performance of the pumps, heaters, etc.
  • General.
    • To give timely feedback and evaluation on the requirements of consumables like sample cans, fittings and essential tools etc. required for the day to day operation for maintaining the inventory.
Additional Principal Accountabilities
Experience
  • Minimum Educational, Professional and Vocational qualifications required:
    • Diploma in Engineering/High School.
    • Familiar with IMS procedures on Terminal/TTLR operations.
    • Knowledge of Fire & Safety regulations applicable to Terminal operations.
    • Working knowledge of computerized systems related to Terminal product movement operations, including Terminal Automation, and Weighbridge.
    • Effective communication skills.
    • Preferable valid UAE light vehicle manual driving license.
  • Minimum years of relevant work experience: At least a minimum of 2 years of Petrochemical Terminal/ Oil Refinery and/or related industries is preferred.
  • Level and type of behavioural and functional competencies required: Technical reporting, recording and writing skills
