Job description
A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Transformer Installation and Commissioning Supervisor you will focus on overseeing installation, commissioning, and repair activities and lead meaningful projects that enhance energy reliability and efficiency, directly impacting Siemens Energy’s mission to drive the energy transition.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Oversee on-site activities related to transformer installation, commissioning, repair, and retrofit, ensuring compliance with Siemens Energy processes, quality standards, and HSE regulations.
  • Provide emergency troubleshooting support to resolve technical issues during commissioning and live substations, coordinating with line managers for effective solutions.
  • Listen to customer requirements and provide feedback to develop new service solutions or identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare project schedules, methods of statement, resource planning, and forecasts to ensure timely execution, while aligning transformer adaptations with specifications.
  • Drive improved quality and reduction of non-conformance costs through Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and enhance customer perception via proactive communication and stakeholder management.
  • Promote a strong EHS mindset and Zero Harm culture on-site, while preparing and submitting final test reports and Minutes of Meetings (MOMs), analyzing test data to confirm transformer performance.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Power and Machines with over 8 years of experience in power transformers and reactor installation, testing, or commissioning in HV substations, industrial, and utility settings.
  • Siemens Energy transformer installation or commissioning certificates for voltages up to 400kV, demonstrating specialized knowledge in the field.
  • In-depth knowledge of transformer installation, testing, and commissioning procedures in accordance with project specifications, safety protocols, and industry standards.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools and testing equipment, along with a strong understanding of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and protection systems.
  • Willingness to travel and work on-site in various locations as required by projects, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in time-critical situations, along with proficiency in the MS Office suite for documentation and reporting.
