As a Team Manager - Business Development, you will be responsible for supporting and managing a sales team within a specified cluster. You need to have the ability to guide the team to success whilst keeping your finger on the pulse and being commercially aware of what is happening in the market.

In this role, you will:
  • Manage a team of BDMs to achieve “client segment” specific target - maintaining value-based conversations
  • Build client relations with a specified group of accounts that are not active on our platforms but have the potential to be in business long-term
  • Set monthly targets for your team.
  • Monitor team performance and motivate them to achieve team and individual targets;
  • Track and maintain records of team sales, payments and account reviews;
  • Be involved in hiring for the team / area according to the profile.
  • Train team members on sales technique, product, upsell and cross-sell;
  • Source feedback to marketing, operations and tech teams for enhancing product effectiveness, client issues and concerns;
  • Collect customer feedback and market research and channel it internally for effective measures and follow-ups;
  • Verify agency data / numbers in the respective area to analyse growth opportunities and determine recruiting needs;
  • Establish, maintain and expand the customer base through effective team management and allocate new agencies to the existing team;
  • Keep track of agency pools and verified agency data in the area. Source feedback to and from operations and the sales team for effective planning and execution;
  • Keep up to date with competitors’ products and packages;
  • Maintain a high level of relevant domain knowledge to have meaningful conversations with prospects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Valid UAE license required
  • Requires a minimum of 6 years of sales experience and a minimum of years of people management experience.
  • In-depth understanding of business, financials, products / services, the market and the needs of assigned accounts;
  • Strong knowledge of the local market;
  • Strong knowledge of sales processes and competence displayed in challenging sales scenarios.
  • Demonstrates an expert level of objection-handling tactics and identifies real objections;
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership skills;
  • Problem solvers and excellent decision‑making skills.
  • Hands‑on attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment;
  • A proactive approach to finding solutions.
  • People‑orientated.
