Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and lead quality control processes and projects within the department, ensuring products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. Include process optimization, project management, and leadership of a QC team.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain QC processes to improve efficiency and product quality.
  • Analyze current QC processes and propose improvements to optimize performance.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, regulatory affairs, production, and compliance.
  • Ensure all products meet internal and external quality standards.
  • Conduct audits and inspections to maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Lead, train, and mentor QC staff to ensure a high level of competency and motivation.
  • Analyze quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present reports on QC activities and project progress to management.
  • Ensure adherence to industry regulations and current regulatory & cGMP requirements; follow and maintain cGMP principles across premises, personnel, equipment, documentation, QMS and audits.
  • Ensure proper usage of all QC equipment and train QC personnel on applicable procedures, specifications, testing methods, and qualification of analysts.
  • Investigate lab incidents, OOS/OOL results, deviations, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Follow up and close all EQMS actions (CAPA, OOS, Deviations, CC) and support internal and external audits, closing audit observations on time.
  • Manage Quality Management System actions (Deviations, OOS, CAPAs, AMS, Change controls) using Amplelogic; ensure data integrity and good documentation practices in QC labs.
  • Follow GLP, GMP, safety procedures and maintain hygienic lab conditions; act as designee for QC Sr Manager responsibilities as required.
  • Apart from the above, perform other duties as assigned by the Head of the department/designee.

  • Technical competencies: in-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulatory guidelines; strong reporting and record-keeping; experience handling regulatory audits and action plans.

  • Team leadership and effective cross-functional collaboration; ability to manage multiple stakeholders and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Attention to detail with ability to review and implement quality inputs from a QC perspective; strong English communication skills.
  • Ability to create cross-functional relationships and manage conflicts; capable of making data-driven, scientific decisions.

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or pharmacy
