At Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeirah A Sushi Chef must be highly skilled for operation the sushi section of the kitchen to deliver an excellent guest and member experience while planning production and preparing sushi dishes in accordance with food health & safety regulations and restaurant standards.

What will I be doing

As a Sushi Chef you are responsible for preparing traditional sushi rice chopping slicing and filleting different kind of fish and placing orders for supplies as needed. Also a Sushi Chef should be able to customize guest orders according to preferences and food allergy you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Ensure that all the ingredients (fruits vegetables fish meats) used to prepare the dishes are of the highest quality.
• Ensure consistency in quality of dishes at all times
• Maintain a clean work environment in order to prevent food contamination
• Work according to the specifications given by the Head Sushi Chef
• Prepare in advance food material and equipment needed for the service
• Report to manager on duty any problems with the kitchen equipment
• Communicate with waiters/waitresses to make sure that all the special allergy requests are met
