About the Role:
We are seeking a Structural Integrity Engineer with deep expertise in concrete structures. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety, durability, and compliance of our concrete infrastructure through advanced inspection, analysis, and maintenance planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections and condition assessments of concrete structures (e.g., foundations, silos, retaining walls).
- Utilise industry-standard software for concrete analysis and design, such as STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, and ETABS.
- Identify and assess deterioration, cracking, carbonation, and reinforcement corrosion in concrete assets.
- Review and validate structural designs for new concrete projects and modifications, ensuring compliance with ACI, Eurocode 2, and BS 8110.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance and rehabilitation strategies for concrete structures.
- Specify materials and oversee repair, retrofitting, or strengthening works using appropriate concrete technologies.
- Prepare technical reports, risk assessments, and maintain comprehensive documentation.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Maintenance, Operations, HSE, Projects) and external partners (consultants, contractors, certification bodies).
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- 7+ years’ experience focused on concrete structures, ideally in heavy industrial or mining environments.
- Proficiency in STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, and CAD tools.
- Strong knowledge of concrete design codes and standards (ACI, Eurocode 2, BS 8110).
- Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods for concrete.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Fluent in English; valid driving licence required.
