Our reputed client is looking for an experienced Store Keeper / Store In charge to manage and control stores operations for a marine engineering setup based at Port Khalifa. The role involves inventory management, team supervision, coordination with operations, and handling marine-specific materials for ship repair and shipbuilding projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end stores operations including receipt, storage, issuance, and tracking of marine engineering materials and spares.
- Supervise and coordinate a small stores team, ensuring adherence to safety and operational procedures.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP/manual systems and ensure stock availability as per project requirements.
- Coordinate with procurement, operations, and project teams to ensure timely material support for ship repair and shipbuilding activities.
- Conduct regular stock audits, reconciliations, and reporting of slow-moving or critical items.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and preservation of marine equipment, tools, and consumables.
- Liaise with vendors, transporters, and site teams for material movement within the port area.
- Handle or support customs clearance documentation and coordination (preferred).
- Ensure compliance with port regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience as a Store Keeper in marine engineering, ship repair, or shipbuilding environments.
- Proven experience in team handling and supervision.
- Strong knowledge of marine spares, tools, consumables, and inventory control practices.
- Experience in customs clearance coordination will be a strong advantage.
- Proficient in MS Excel and inventory/ERP systems.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Additional Requirements
- Driving license and own car preferred due to the location at Port Khalifa.
- Candidates without personal transport will be provided shared accommodation and company transportation.
- Willingness to work in a port and marine operational environment.
