Job summary

A construction firm in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Draftsman to prepare detailed shop drawings for structural elements such as foundations, beams, and slabs. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering, at least 8 years of drafting experience, and strong skills in AutoCAD. Job Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and detailed shop drawings for structural elements including foundations, columns, beams, slabs and other concrete and steel components.
• Develop coordination drawings in line with architectural and MEP disciplines to ensure clash‑free construction.
• Interpret structural design drawings and specifications to produce clear and compliant drafting deliverables.
• Revise and update drawings based on site conditions, RFIs and engineering mark‑ups.
• Collaborate closely with structural engineers, site teams and other drafting disciplines to ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Ensure all drawings adhere to local authority standards, company protocols and project specifications.
• Maintain up‑to‑date drawing logs and ensure timely submission of required documentation.
• Provide support to site teams during construction with required drawing revisions or clarifications.
  

Key Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering or a relevant technical qualification.
• Minimum 8 years drafting experience with at least 5 years in the UAE/GCC contracting companies.
• Strong command of AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit Structure or BIM tools is a plus.
• Extensive experience in preparing coordination drawings and multi‑disciplinary integration.
• Familiarity with UAE/GCC construction standards and authority requirements.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines.
