A leading consumer electronics company in Dubai is seeking a Sr. Specialist - Product Management & Compliance to lead product vision development, oversee the product lifecycle, and coordinate cross-departmental collaboration. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in the consumer electronics industry, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and proficiency in Arabic. This role requires both independent and collaborative work in a fast-paced environment.
1. Standard and Regulation: Coordinate new standard and regulation processes between factory and the customer. Establish a systematic way to track the processes of new regulations for each category. Ensure tight collaboration between product managers, sales and technical teams.
2. Product Management: Product Vision: Lead the development of the product vision and roadmap based on market research, customer needs, and competitive analysis.
3. Innovation & Development: Ensure a focus on product innovation, defining and delivering features that meet customer needs, solve problems, and differentiate the company in the market.
4. Product Lifecycle: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to development, launch, and ongoing optimization.
5. Range Management: Define regional product ranges to increase SKU efficiency. Manage SKU efficiency and profitability based on criteria set. Execute & manage SKU phase-out process.
6. Customer-Centric Design: Advocate for customer feedback and insights to inform product development and enhancements, ensuring the product is designed to meet evolving market demands.
7. Performance & Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for product success, track performance, and adjust strategies as necessary.
8. Pricing: Develop price band recommendation for each country. Review positioning, pricing, value chain analysis and build recommendation for countries.
9. Collaboration & Execution: Cross-Department Coordination: Ensure tight collaboration between product, marketing, engineering, sales, and customer support to deliver a seamless customer experience and product success.
10. Budget Management: Manage budgets for both product development and marketing, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing ROI.
11. Risk Management: Identify potential risks or bottlenecks in product development or marketing execution and address them proactively to keep projects on track.
12. Customer & Market Focus: Customer Insights: Champion the voice of the customer by collecting and analyzing feedback from customers, sales teams, and other stakeholders to inform both product development and marketing strategies.
13. Competitive Analysis: Continuously monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market shifts, adjusting strategies to maintain a competitive advantage.
1. Bachelor’s degree with +5 years within Consumer Electronics and Home Appliance industry covering Product Management.
2. Track record of building and launching new products.
3. Strong negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
4. Affinity with pricing strategies, category management and product launches.
5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
6. Strong verbal, written and presentation abilities.
7. Experience with working with global teams, and professional proficiency in Arabic language a must.
8. Project management skills.
9. Experience in coordinating and orchestrating product standard and certification processes would be a big plus.
10. Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
11. Travel required based on business needs; domestic and international.
