A prominent construction firm in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced construction manager for offshore/onshore projects in the Oil & Gas sector. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Civil, or Naval disciplines. Job description
  • Prepare mobilization plans jointly with the OCM to ensure proper and timely mobilization of construction barge and vessels covering equipment, material, construction crew, subcontractors, documentation etc.
  • Review and approve installation procedures to ensure that they fully cover the project requirements and scope of work
  • Attend project execution strategy meeting
  • Attend offshore/onshore Constructability review meeting for a specific activity
  • Provide feedback and input on the installation schedule
  • Attend Risk assessment session for the offshore/onshore installation activities
  • Follow up on construction barges / vessel client inspection report close out in coordination with other involved department
  • Monitor offshore/onshore work progress on daily basis, attend offshore/Onshore operation daily meeting during offshore/onshore execution and coordinate closely with / OCE / OCM / Barge Superintendent and Field Engineers at all times during offshore/onshore execution
  • Follow-up the fabrication progress with NOD base w.r.t the installation aids
  • Conduct offshore/onshore visit to the installation barges / vessels during the offshore/Onshore installation activities
  • Perform HSE audits / Tours on the offshore/onshore spreads during their operations on site
  • Provide feedback to the method engineers as required upon procedural review
  • Follow up the barge / vessel progress on a daily basis to ensure the offshore/onshore progress is developing as per the agreed time schedule and allocated budget
  • Resolve any technical issues / shortage of material supply ensuring a downtime-free operation
  • Follow up on the Demob of the construction barges / vessels upon completion of the offshore/onshore installation campaign
  • Responsible to the upgrade works follow-up on the his assigned marine spread
  • Guide the Operation Engineers and provide necessary assistance to senior colleagues (i.e. Lead operation engineers, OOM, and OOD)
  • Coordinate project activities among departments and sub-contractors
  • Provide necessary assistance to senior colleagues
  • Compliance in accordance with Company policies & procedures, Policy of Integrity & Code of Conduct and HSE standards
  • Review the mobilization plans to ensure proper and timely mobilization of vessels covering equipment, material, construction crew, subcontractors, documentation,etc
