Job description

As Spa Therapist, I will behave in a professional manner and set an example to all. I will abide by Six Senses principles, core values, best practices, guidelines and objectives, while respecting other cultures and nationalities and projecting a positive and proactive position to help build and maintain a strong, loyal team.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests on arrival and conduct check-in and registration procedures in an efficient and friendly manner, using guest names whenever possible.
• Perform spa menu treatments as per Six Senses Spas standards.
• Recommend treatment and products based on lifestyle consultation form and after asking the assessment questions to guest.
• Adapt to specific guest needs following LQA and our protocols.
• Make sure treatment rooms have enough supplies at all times as per standards.
• Request and log stock of supplies necessary for the treatment rooms.
• Set up the treatment rooms as per standards.
• Serve the welcome drink or other menu offerings to the guests when required.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the Spa and treatment rooms.
• Maintain the equipment I use in safe conditions.
• Handle guest complaints and record all guest comments.
• Log all product recommendations to guests.
• Fill in documents / controls / reports for duty (stocks, daily logbook if any, lost & found, guest comments).
• Achieve individual and group targets in sales as required, as well as promote the upselling of spa treatments, products, packages, special promotions and Visiting Experts Calendar.
• Carry out when required stock count, both retail and professional stock.
• Monitor usage of products.
• Maintain a high standard of personal appearance, grooming and hygiene.
• Knowledge of all safety, security and emergency procedures related to my position in line with brand and statutory requirements.
• Ensure the privacy of guests, partners and residential owners, I will apply an extra level of protection to any sensitive personal data and use confidential information only to perform my job.
• Maintain efficient administration within the department preparing and submitting operational reports.
• Ensure all equipment of the department is kept clean and in good working condition.
• Upsell all property facilities and activities.
• Knowledge and strict adherence to LQA standards.

Qualifications

To execute the position of Spa Therapist, I confirm that I have the required qualifications, technical skills and at least three years’ experience in a similar or greater role in luxury spas and health clubs with proven certifications and diplomas. I have graduated or have broad knowledge on anatomy and physiology, massage therapy, beauty therapy at either NVQ, ITEC or CIDESCO. Understanding and specialization of various beauty products, aesthetic appliances, their specifications and uses. Knowledge in use of facial, nail or other beauty technology as required to fulfil spa treatment. I have a good command of English.
