What You Will Be Doing

As a Service Engineer at Berg Propulsion you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of our propulsion systems. Your responsibilities will include:

• Mechanical Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform maintenance, overhauling and troubleshooting for Berg Propulsion systems including CPP Transverse Thrusters and Azimuth Thrusters.
• Product Troubleshooting & Investigation: Conduct thorough investigations and maintenance on propulsion products to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
• Warranty Work & Commissioning: Execute warranty work, commissioning and supervise new building projects ensuring that all systems are installed and functioning correctly.
• System Upgrades: Perform upgrades for propulsion control systems to enhance performance and reliability.
• Field Service Support: Support field service operations including warranty work, commissioning and supervision ensuring customer satisfaction and system reliability.
• Service Reports & Collaboration: Prepare detailed service work reports and collaborate with technical teams to enhance service efficiency and effectiveness.
• Technical Communication: Lead technical communications with internal stakeholders and customers, providing expert advice and support.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in the ongoing development and improvement of the Berg Propulsion system, contributing to innovation and excellence.

Key Qualifications

• Educational Background: Diploma or Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electrical & Electronics or Mechatronic Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in the marine industry specifically in shipbuilding or repairs.
• Technical Skills: Strong background in propulsion field service including troubleshooting, maintenance and system upgrades.
• Documentation Skills: Ability to read and understand electrical and automation schematics and related documentation.
• Language Proficiency: Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Driving License: UAE Driving License or willingness to obtain it.
• Travel: Willingness to travel frequently.
