Job description
Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute testing and commissioning activities for electrical and instrumentation systems as per project requirements.
  • Perform functional tests, system integration tests, loop checks and site acceptance tests (SAT).
  • Identify, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to electrical and instrumentation systems during testing and commissioning.
  • Ensure that all systems are tested in compliance with industry standards, safety regulations and client specifications.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed test reports, commissioning records and documentation.
  • Coordinate with project teams, contractors and clients to facilitate smooth commissioning processes.
  • Provide technical support and training to end‑users or operators on system functionality and operation.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety and environmental (HSE) guidelines during all commissioning activities.
  • Conduct final inspections and verification of electrical and instrumentation equipment functionality before handover.
  • Recommend modifications or improvements based on test results and operational feedback.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Instrumentation or a related Engineering field.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in testing and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems in industries such as oil & gas, power plants or manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations and commissioning procedures for electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings, P&IDs, schematics and control diagrams.
  • Hands‑on experience with testing tools, instruments and software used in electrical and instrumentation commissioning processes.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with various stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Additional Information
  • Certification in commissioning processes (e.g. Certified Commissioning Professional - CCP) is a plus.
  • Experience with PLC/SCADA systems, DCS control systems or industrial automation is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of hazardous area classifications (ATEX standards) and intrinsically safe instrumentation is beneficial.
