Job Title: Senior Test & Measurement Engineer (RF/SDR)
Location: Abu Dhabi

As a Senior Test & Measurement Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in system-level verification, RF performance characterization, and end-to-end testing of advanced communication platforms.

Key Responsibilities
System-Level Test Development
  • Translate system requirements into measurable, automated, and traceable test cases.
  • Define verification procedures and test plans for wireless, RF, SDR, and networking systems.
  • Collaborate closely with system architects, waveform designers, hardware, and software teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
RF & SDR Performance Validation
  • Evaluate system performance, characterize RF behavior, and validate compliance and interoperability.
  • Perform end-to-end testing in both lab and field environments, generating detailed test reports and status updates.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues across hardware, firmware, and software boundaries.
Hands-On Lab Testing & Integration
  • Integrate and debug complex hardware/software systems in a lab environment.
  • Utilize advanced RF instruments such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, channel emulators/simulators, signal generators, and protocol testers.
  • Build, configure, and maintain test setups, hardware rigs, and automated test infrastructure based on project needs.
  • Support lab planning, equipment budgeting, and resource management.
  • Develop automation tools and scripts using Python, MATLAB, C/C++, or equivalent languages to streamline test execution and data analysis.
Requirements
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in RF testing, SDR-based systems, wireless communication validation, or networking test environments.
  • Strong understanding of RF fundamentals, communication systems, and system-level interactions.
  • Expertise using RF test equipment: spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, channel simulators/emulators, and similar instrumentation.
  • Proven experience in system integration and troubleshooting across hardware/software boundaries.
  • Proficiency in scripting or programming for automation (Python, MATLAB, C/C++, or similar tools).
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a fast-paced, cross-functional engineering environment.
