Job Purpose

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Provide expert technical consultancy and guidance to EGIT, acting as the lead technical member in project teams delivering the assigned work packages.
• Develop IT solutions that meet customer requirements, ensuring design is robust, appropriate, and of high quality, conforming to corporate standards and the technical strategy.
• Ensure that the developed architecture/solution meets service level requirements in terms of availability, capacity, continuity, security, performance, and reliability.
• Develop solution architectures for assigned projects with established EA standards, support the development of technology advancements, and adapt new technologies. Foster the development of high‑performing technical teams to meet strategic architectural objectives.
• Collaborate with other IT technology teams to implement ongoing monitoring of relevant technology, ensuring level 1 & 2 incidents are configured within EMS.
• Guide project managers and technology team managers for solution definition, technical design, and development of in‑house developed solutions, delivered on agreed costs and timescales.
• Ensure that assigned incidents are resolved within agreed service levels; define and analyse problems in line with the Problem Management Process; and manage changes within the technology area.
• Publish and maintain high‑quality documentation for the technology area, using standard templates and guidelines that include detailed design, configuration details, support procedures, operations manuals, and deployment architecture.
• Manage end‑of‑life replacement of equipment and/or software within the technology area to ensure conformance to technical standards and support technology initiatives.
• Translate process and enhancement specifications into effective programs with error‑free code using enterprise development tools, methods, and languages.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:

• Degree or Honours (12+3) or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in Information Technology.

Knowledge and Skills

• Experience managing and administering Microsoft Teams Room Systems.
• Expert knowledge of video walls, meeting room and audio/visual technologies following AVIXA standards and AVoIP projects.
• Proven experience in guiding teams as an SME and driving high‑quality supported technology solutions at a senior level following EGIT policies and frameworks (Jira, Confluence, SNOW).
• Proven experience in senior stakeholder management and translation of business requirements into technical solutions, demonstrating project management readiness and skills.
• High attention to detail ensuring user‑friendly high‑quality implementations.
• Track record of successful large‑scale implementation and adoption of technologies.
• In‑depth understanding of network disciplines (LAN/WAN, routing, cloud/on‑prem, subnetting, security principles, etc).
• In‑depth knowledge regarding Digital Signage solutions and deployments (Content Management Platforms).
