About the job SENIOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our engineering team for onshore oil and gas projects based in Abu Dhabi. The role involves leading and performing structural engineering and design activities during the FEED and Detailed Engineering phases, ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards and international codes.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the preparation, review, and validation of structural design deliverables such as calculations, analysis reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Develop structural design concepts and perform detailed engineering for steel and concrete structures, including equipment foundations, pipe racks, platforms, and buildings.
• Ensure all designs comply with ADNOC specifications, local regulations, and international design codes (AISC, API, BS, Eurocode, etc.).
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (civil, piping, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation) to ensure design consistency and integration.
• Review and approve vendor drawings and engineering documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Perform structural analysis using industry-standard software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, SACS, ETABS, or similar).
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
• Support constructability reviews, design optimization, and value engineering exercises.
• Liaise with clients and participate in technical meetings, design reviews, and HAZID/HAZOP workshops.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 1215 years of experience in structural engineering within the oil and gas industry, specifically on onshore projects.
• Proven experience in FEED and Detailed Engineering (Detailed Design) phases.
• Prior experience working on ADNOC projects is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of international structural design codes and standards.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as STAAD.Pro, SACS, ETABS, or equivalent.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
