Senior Mechatronics Engineer - Automation & Robotics

Integrate Mechanical, Electrical, and Software Innovation

Our team requires a forward-thinking Senior Mechatronics Engineer to develop and deploy advanced automated and robotic systems for use in high-consequence environments. This role is perfect for an engineer who excels at the intersection of multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities
  • Lead cross-functional projects involving the integration of mechanical systems, electronic controls, sensors, and software.
  • Design and model robotic cells, automated workstations, and special process equipment using 3D simulation tools.
  • Develop motion control systems, select actuators and drives, and specify sensor technologies.
  • Write, test, and debug high-level control software in languages such as C++, Python, or MATLAB for machine automation.
  • Conduct system validation and verification testing to ensure performance and reliability metrics are met.
  • Create comprehensive documentation including system manuals, operational procedures, and maintenance guides.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering. Advanced degree is an asset.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in designing and commissioning automated or robotic systems.
  • Expert-level proficiency in CAD (e.g., SolidWorks) and simulation software.
  • Strong programming skills for embedded systems and industrial automation (e.g., C++, Python, ROS, Ladder Logic).
  • Experience with vision systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and feedback control theory.
