We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Mechanical Technician to join our growing this critical role you will be responsible for the meticulous assembly of satellites according to detailed engineering drawings and procedures. You will be a key contributor to the successful production of high‑quality spacecraft.

About this Role

• Perform all phases of satellite assembly including precisely assemble satellite subsystems (e.g. structures, mechanisms, thermal control) using various hand tools and specialized equipment.
• Conduct thorough inspections and quality checks at each stage of the assembly process.
• Adhere strictly to engineering drawings, work instructions and quality control standards.
• Document all assembly activities and deviations accurately.
• Assemble and validate mechanical ground support equipment (GSE) to ensure proper functioning and compatibility with satellite hardware.
• Provide hands‑on training and guidance to junior technicians fostering their professional development.
• Actively participate in process improvement initiatives and contribute to the optimization of assembly procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe working environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor assembly issues effectively.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, technicians and other team members to ensure successful project completion.

Must Haves

• Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of hands‑on experience in precision mechanical assembly preferably in the aerospace or a related high‑tech industry.
• Proven ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and schematics.
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, tolerances and fitting techniques.
• Excellent manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
• Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools and specialized assembly equipment.
