Job Objective

Contributing to technical delivery of engineering excellence through executing assigned scopes of work, providing discipline expertise, and supporting supervisory tasks for the team.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Executing Assigned Scopes of Work
  • Participate as a team member in a specific phase of a broad engineering assignment.
  • Direct preparation of appropriate documentation for assigned projects.
  • Ensure successful completion within budgeted time and cost constraints.
  • Define engineering approaches and plan and schedule work.
  • Check engineering calculations and drawings in accordance with industry codes and standards.
  • Assist with development of less senior technical professionals.
Providing Discipline Expertise
  • Solve problems requiring development of new approaches or new uses for existing approaches.
  • Modify established guidelines, devise new approaches, and apply existing criteria in new ways.
  • Act as a technical leader or significant contributor to major complex problems or projects.
Supporting and Supervising Task Delegation to Team
  • May supervise a small work group consisting of technical/professional staff.
  • Assist in performing managerial tasks such as assigning tasks to engineers and planning and coordinating portions of engineering work.
  • Coordinate activities of engineering and design groups assigned to small projects.
  • Provide HSSE leadership and ensure safety compliance.
Level Of Influence & Decision-Making Authority
  • Work is assigned within broad guidelines and refers to more senior authority for unusual matters.
  • Actions and decisions have significant influence on technical, operational, and financial results.
  • No direct reports but frequently serves as a technical resource.

Expected
  • B.Sc. or equivalent degree in the Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 10+ years relevant experience in major brownfield oil & gas projects, including at least five (5) years in a similar position.
Knowledge, skills and experience
  • Specific experience in oil and gas projects across their lifecycle in the GCC region.
  • Pre‑FEED and FEED experience required.
  • Detailed engineering experience preferred.

  • Guide and direction to project team, managing, motivating, and mentoring professional engineering specialists.
  • Discover issues and recommend solutions to technical and commercial issues.
  • Proficient user of relevant software and calculation templates.
