As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will partner with the business to provide clear, pragmatic legal support across contracts, regional and international projects, as well as day-to-day operations. The role involves working closely with senior stakeholders to help manage risk and enable informed decision-making in a complex environment.

Description
  • Provide practical, commercially focused legal advice across contracts, projects, and day-to-day operational matters in a complex, multi-jurisdictional environment
  • Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of high-value and strategically important agreements, managing legal and commercial risk
  • Support cross-border initiatives and transactions, working closely with internal stakeholders to identify issues early and enable informed decisions
  • Advise on disputes, claims, and incidents, coordinating with external counsel and internal teams to manage exposure and resolve matters efficiently
  • Develop and maintain legal templates, guidance, and playbooks to support consistent and effective contracting practices
  • Deliver targeted training and informal guidance to business teams to improve legal awareness and risk management
  • Manage external legal advisers, ensuring quality, cost control, and alignment with business priorities
Profile
  • Must have at least 10 years PQE, combining top tier law firm training with substantial in-house experience
  • Strong track record advising asset-heavy / industrial or complex operational businesses
  • Proven experience across cross-border projects, high-value contracts, and dispute/claims strategies
  • Comfortable operating with high autonomy, influencing senior leaders and multidisciplinary teams
  • Exceptional drafting and negotiation skills; commercially astute with sound risk judgement
