Job Description:
Senior Landscape Architect
Abu Dhabi, UAE
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Landscape Architect with design and site supervision experience to join our team in Abu Dhabi.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Develop the scope of landscape design and construction work, project schedules, and budgets for assigned project elements, ensuring alignment with client goals and monitoring progress to meet deadlines and budget requirements. Identifies and documents changes in project scope.
Reviews design and construction work to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and procedures, as well as adherence to quality expectations.
Monitors productivity and technical proficiency of assigned team members, reallocating resources as project needs evolve. Provides guidance to ensure successful project execution.
Conducts performance evaluations for team members, implements corrective actions as needed, and recommends salary adjustments. Facilitates training and professional development opportunities for staff.
Ensures that client criteria, project scope, and design intent are met by all disciplines involved in the project.
Expedites the distribution of action items and follow-ups after discussions or meetings with the client and Project Manager.
Prepares technical reports, project documentation, and construction manuals for the client and project management team.
Acts as the Project Manager's deputy for specific activities, such as attending client or contractor meetings in their absence.
Obtains, analyzes, and circulates technical and contractual information to project team members and stakeholders.
Reviews and approves change orders related to design or construction. Notifies project management and other affected personnel of all changes and ensures proper documentation.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring :
Bachelor's degree in architecture or engineering
Minimum 10 years experience in design and construction supervision of landscape projects
Proven ability to perform in a supervisory/leadership role
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are required
Must also possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and be able to select and apply appropriate engineering software for use on project
