Job description

Our client is an award-winning boutique interior design studio based in Dubai, specialising in immersive hospitality and experiential interiors from restaurants, bars, beach clubs and nightclubs to rooftops and entertainment venues. They combine bold aesthetic vision, brand sensitivity, and technical excellence to deliver striking, high-impact spaces.

They’re now looking for a Senior Interior Designer, to join their dynamic team in Dubai and lead the creative design process end-to-end on ambitious hospitality and F&B projects.

As Senior Interior Designer, you will take ownership of concept to completion design delivery. You will be a design driver, coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure the vision is executed beautifully, on schedule, and to specification. You’ll mentor junior staff, push design boundaries, and help elevate the studio across the region.

Responsibilities

Concept & Design Development

• Develop and present innovative design concepts and schemes that align with client briefs and business goals.
• Drive conceptual development through schematic design, material exploration, finishes, lighting, and detailing.
• Produce compelling visuals : sketches, renders, mood boards, BIM / CAD drawings, and presentation boards.

Design Delivery & Documentation

• Lead all phases of design : concept, schematic, detailed design, tender and site coordination.
• Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ), specification sheets, finishes schedules, FF&E lists.
• Oversee preparation of construction drawings, interior detailing, and shop drawings.
• Ensure all design documentation meets quality, regulatory and hospitality standards (F&B, operations).

Coordination & Implementation

• Liaise and coordinate with consultants (M&E, structural, plumbing, lighting, acoustics) and contractors.
• Oversee site execution and supervise site teams to ensure design intent is maintained.
• Monitor progress, anticipate issues, propose solutions, and maintain alignment with the original vision.
• Quality-check and sign off on finishes, installations, and fit-out work.

Leadership & Mentorship

• Mentor junior designers and interns, providing guidance, design reviews and feedback.
• Ensure consistency of style, quality, and standards across multiple projects.
• Manage tasks, review work, and maintain high creative standards.

Compliance & Standards

• Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations, as well as hospitality / operational norms.
• Maintain awareness of emerging trends, materials, and technologies relevant to hospitality interiors.

Software & Tools

• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
• Experience with 3D Studio Max and SketchUp is a plus

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture or similar discipline.
• Minimum 4-8 years’ experience in interior design, ideally in hospitality, F&B and experiential project experience
• Expert in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp and Photoshop to produce concept designs, through to presentations to their clients.
• Strong portfolio with demonstrable experience in restaurants, clubs, lounges, and immersive interiors.
• Proven experience leading interior design from concept through implementation.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strategic thinker with strong attention to detail, material knowledge, and execution capability.
• Comfortable making site visits, working with contractors, troubleshooting onsite issues.
