Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Dubai is seeking a highly experienced Lead Instrumentation Engineer to oversee instrumentation engineering for onshore oil and gas projects. The role involves managing project deliverables, ensuring compliance with international standards, and guiding a team of engineers. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering and at least 12-15 years of relevant experience, particularly in the engineering phase. Strong leadership and communication skills, along with proficiency in engineering software, are essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 12-15 years of experience in instrumentation engineering.
  • Proven track record in FEED, Detailed Engineering, and Design.
  • Strong knowledge of instrumentation codes and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead preparation, review, and approval of engineering deliverables.
  • Develop project-specific design philosophies and standards.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Review vendor documentation for instrumentation packages.
  • Conduct technical evaluations and vendor assessments.
  • Manage and guide junior engineers ensuring quality work.
  • Participate in design reviews and constructability assessments.
  • Support procurement activities with technical evaluations.
