A leading FMCG / Food Manufacturing company in Dubai is seeking to hire a Senior Finance Manager to join its growing finance team in Dubai. This role will work collaboratively with the CFO to oversee all financial and business control operations, MIS/reporting, accounts payable, revenue management, payroll, treasury, and effective management of budgeting and planning processes. The Senior Finance Manager will lead and implement process improvements and procedures with a focus on system-driven processes, facilitate smooth conduct of external and internal audits, ensure effective deployment of policies and controls, and establish robust review mechanisms to promptly identify and address deviations from company objectives. Additionally, the role involves motivating, developing, and managing the finance team.

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements – Direct / Indirect Taxes, DFM / ESCA regulations, IFRS, etc.
  • Enhancing operational efficiency through automation and reducing paperwork.
  • Monitoring SAP operations issues and coordinating with the IT team for follow-up.
  • Preparing the operating budget with detailed analysis and reports on sales growth, gross profit, expenses, and profitability, ensuring updates in SAP.
  • Providing analytic reports and variance analysis for monthly management reviews and quarterly/yearly board meetings regarding financial results.
  • Supporting monthly and quarterly close activities in collaboration with the accounting and operations departments.
  • Assisting in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and strategic business plans.
  • Managing external and internal audits to ensure timely completion.
  • Reviewing Capex requests, calculating payback and ROI, and ensuring timely and correct capitalization of assets monthly.
  • Maintaining full budgetary control over Opex and Capex.
  • Supervising and guiding the finance team – AP, Treasury, Payroll, Fixed Assets, GL / MIS.
  • Monitoring finance and accounting activities related to AP, GL, Fixed Assets, Treasury, Payroll, ensuring accurate and timely transactions with appropriate approvals.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of payroll information.
  • Ensuring employee advances/loans are deducted promptly.
  • Monthly review of all AP control accounts, GRIRs, overseeing invoice booking with 3/4 way match.
  • Ensuring timely payments to vendors as per agreed terms, monitoring aging reports, and reconciling vendors.
  • Settling vendor debit balances/advances timely.
  • Quarterly review of open purchase orders.
  • Ensuring correct and timely uploading of XBRL quarterly.
  • Assessing training needs for staff development and work efficiency enhancement.
